Implications for practice and research

  • Evidence from low-income and middle-income settings has suggested that during the pandemic lockdown, the healthcare utilisation declined with an increase in morbidity and mortality,1 especially among the socially advantaged population.2

  • There is a further need to understand the utilisation of healthcare among high-risk children during the pandemic in high-income settings.
