It was developed to assist the registered nurse (RN), the registered practical nurse (RPN) and the nurse practitioner (NP) working collaboratively to deliver safe effective care to diverse patient populations. With the mounting evidence of the importance of these relationships, this guideline examines the multiple factors relevant to intraprofessional collaborative practice among nurses that need to be considered to foster healthy work environments (HWEs), quality patient care and the retention and recruitment of nurses.Suva G, Sager S, Santa Mina E, et al.
