Does QRISK score predict risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in a validation sample of general practice patients? How does it compare with Framingham score?

2 validation cohorts from general practices in the UK that provided routinely collected clinical data to 1 of 2 research databases (QRESEARCH, n = 160; THIN, n = 274).
patients who were included in the THIN (n = 1.07 million) or QRESEARCH (n = 0.61 million) databases, were 35–74 years of age (51% women), did not have diabetes or CVD, and were not taking statins at baseline.
